Alex Schupp
Throw Pro
Favorite Thing to Make:
I love using alternative firing methods like raku and pit firing to make beautiful and unpredictable effects on finished pieces.
Fun Fact:
I’m an avid forager of mushrooms and other good eats in the Colorado mountains - nothing beats the smell of fresh pine and the thrill of finding a porcini!
A Bit About Me:
Alex started making ceramics as a way to quiet his brain after long days of work. Turns out, nothing clears the mind like turning mud into strange, functional objects that toe the line between beautiful and bizarre.
He uses old-school methods like wheel throwing, coil building, slab work, pinch pots, and slip casting to create pottery that’s useful, a little weird, and totally unique. No mass production. No boring bowls.
Come take a class, play with clay, and make something you'll actually want to keep forever.
