Taite Shomo

Taite is a multimedia artist and art educator who loves making, learning about, and teaching art with students of all ages and experience levels. Taite completed their Master’s degree in Art History at CU Boulder in 2025, and their artistic work is influenced by their academic research on medieval art, gender, and the body. Their ceramics blur the boundaries between form and function, often incorporating organic hand-built elements and wire piercings. When they aren’t teaching or making, Taite likes spending time with their pets and reading anything they can get their hands on.
